Moving Pieces takes part in Mental Health Awareness month with Healthy London Partnership and Thrive
On Wednesday 18 October, Moving Pieces will be delivering a free creative taster workshop for NHS staff as part of Mental Health Awareness month. If you work within the NHS and are looking for different ways to enhance your wellbeing and practice self-care, come along to our fun and informative session.
We will be giving staff the opportunity to exercise their creativity whilst taking a look at how physical storytelling and creating short performances with movement can boost health and wellbeing.
We’ll be guiding healthcare staff in how to connect with personal experiences and emotions through the body, and feel the benefits of exercising self-expression. The taster will provide insights into how devising theatre and performance can leave you feeling more confident in sharing your experiences, and more connected with yourself and others.
We will also look at simple body-based skills that can be used both when being creative and also in your day-to-day life that can help you manage stress and achieve a greater sense of wellbeing.
